About Me
Hi. I’m Stephanie. I watch a lot of movies. I go to the cinema probably every week, sometimes twice. Because of this, people sometimes ask what I’ve seen that’s good lately. And my mind goes completely blank. This blog is going to be a list of what I’ve seen, when I saw it, and what I thought of it.
In case you are wondering whether my opinions will be useful to you, here is some information about my tastes:
- My favourite movie ever is The Princess Bride, which I have seen enough times that I probably have it memorized. I think the dialogue in it is just brilliant.
- My least favourite movie ever is Smokin Aces, which I thought was idiotic in the extreme.
- I don’t watch horror movies or war movies. Ever.
- I am very squeamish about blood.
- I appreciate originality in storytelling, but if a formula is done well, I’m ok with that too.
- I like movies that are clever (Ruby Sparks) without being overly arty and self-conscious (Synecdoche, New York).
- I don’t enjoy bathroom humour.
- I get annoyed when it is too obvious that someone is trying to yank on my heartstrings. (Hello, The Notebook. I am talking to you.)

Happy to have you and I hope you stick around. 🙂 This is a “before you see them” review blog. I keep my reviews short and sweet and try to avoid spoilers. I tend to read proper long reviews after I see a movie. I never want that much information before I see something.
